Wooden Shoe's Field and Vine Dinner
This year’s dinners kick off at a local farm favorite, Iverson’s ‘Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm,’ nestled in the broad farming valley at Monitor, in their splendid summer garden. At each dinner, guests arrive on their own, or in Field & Vine’s timeless school bus. They’ll experience warm earth underfoot, the sweet scent of summer lingering in the air. Glass in hand, and wine tickling their taste buds, they stroll through the vineyard or farm, guided by the winemaker or farmer’s expert hand and tales from the vine and root.
They’ll make their way back to the long community tables, placed center perfect in the field, candles and wine glasses glimmering in the late evening sun. Guests will relax into each of the six courses expertly prepared by Field & Vine, along with guest chefs. As they sip from the wines of Oregon, guests will taste the native ingredients of the Northwest, and as often as possible, sourced straight from the host farm or surrounding farms. Guests will taste such delectables as fresh green beans and sweet corn salad or succulent grilled Carlton Farms pork rack drizzled in apple butter and chorizo succotash or delicate, roasted Copper River Salmon with fava bean and fingerling potato and confit garlic salad.
