Relay For Life of the Woodburn Area "Stars & Stripes for a Cure"
Relay For Life brings together millions of people to raise money to help prevent cancer, save lives and diminish suffering from the disease. Please join us as we honor survivors during the first lap of Relay, 6pm. Hope lights the way when the sun goes down as hundreds of luminaria light the way under the stars to remember those lost to cancer, those fighting cancer and those who have fought cancer and won. This 10pm ceremony of light symbolizes the hope and perserverance with which we all continue to fight. Food, family fun and entertainment, lots to do all night long.
This year, our community will have the unique opportunity to participate first hand in a landmark new cancer research study, Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). This is an opportunity for those of us who have never been diagnosed with cancer to actively get involved in the very research the Relay efforts help to fund, and help prevent cancer for this and future generations. Enrollment will take place Friday from 5-9pm.
