Edward J. Finck, a member of the utopian Aurora Colony during the 1800s, was a successful piano teacher and composer in Portland from the mid 1870’s to his death in 1916. On June 2, 2012, Finck's music will be performed for the first time in almost 100 years. Elinor Golding, one of Finck’s descendents, is featured piano soloist. Finck’s choral music, string ensemble compositions and selections by Beethoven and Hayden will fill out this unique musical program. The concert will be held at the Charbonneau Golf Club, Charbonneau, begining at 7 pm. Admission is $25.00 per person with proceeds benefiting continued historical research at the Aurora Colony .
