Mt Angel's 46th Oktoberfest! There is no more appropriat setting for an American version of the "Old World" Oktoberfest than in Mt Angel Oregon. The small community was settled by German pioneers in the 1800's and readkily reminds one of the lush Bavarian countryside.
Oregon's oldest and best-loved Oktoberfest began in 1966 as a traditional harvest festival to celebrate the bounty of the earth and the goodness of creation. It is the largest folk festival in the Northwest.
Four Ddays of family focused activities:
Continuous live music on four stages, traditional Bavarian folk dancing, Kindergarten with amusements and shows, Friday and Saturday night street dancing, over 50 Alpine food chalets serving a winde variety of ethnic foods, large juried Arts and Crafts Show, Traditional Biergarten, Weingarten and Alpinegarten, over 30 musical groups, featuring the Original Donaumusikanten, Sports program with folks walk and run, Cruz-n Car Show, careful planning for children, the elderly and handicapped, RV and tent camping, lots of protected parking.
