Day of Action
Employees build stronger connections when they volunteer together!
Would you like to provide your employees with an opportunity to build a stronger connection with each other? United Way’s Day of Action engages your staff through volunteerism, and provides an experience that is a change of pace from the normal day to day activities.
During Day of Action teams of volunteers from organizations like yours will take on meaningful, hands-on volunteer projects to help charitable organizations, as well as elementary schools that serve our most vulnerable neighborhoods. Volunteer teams of all sizes are needed, and the project types vary – painting, book sorting and labeling, moving furniture, landscape and beautification projects, organizing and deep cleaning, create play spaces for children, etc. We have 20 projects registered, and expect several more to come in over the next week or so. Our goal is to have every project matched with a volunteer team.
Day of Action is taking place Friday, June 17th from 8am – noon. You can visit https://www.unitedwaymwv.org/2016-day-action for more information, including details on the service projects.
