SUMMARY:St Paul Rodeo 78th 4th of July Rodeo
DESCRIPTION:Seventy eight years ago\, a group of local farmers and businessmen put their heads together to organize a rough and tumble Fourth of July celebration\, and they put the word out that there was fun to be had and money to be won at the City Park in St. Paul Oregon. That first year fifty cowboys competed for a grand total of $500.\n\n	From that humble beginning\, the St. Paul Rodeo has become one of this nation's top rodeos with prize monies approaching $500\,000\, nearly a thousand competitors\, and was designated as a Wrangler Million Dollar Tour Rodeo making it one of an elite group of eight rodeos attracting the top competitors in the world.\n\n	Mark your calendars now and join the fun at the 78th Annual St. Paul Rodeo July 2 6\, 2013.\n\n	There's no doubt that St. Paul knows how to "do" rodeo. This celebration includes the roughest\, toughest contests between men and animals and underscores the grit and fortitude of those folks we know as cowboys and cowgirls.\n\n	Hundreds of community volunteers work shoulder to shoulder for months each year to put this traditional show together\, and we welcome the world to St. Paul for five days filled with color\, action\, excitement\, and something for everyone. So\, head on out to St. Paul for a fun-filled experience during our 78th annual 4th of July rodeo celebration of the American cowboy and our western lifestyle!
