DESCRIPTION:Silverton Health Celebrating 30 years Fun Run! \n\n\n\nThe Silverton Health Fun Run\, which has become a community celebration of health\, fitness and camaraderie\, marks its 30th year Saturday\, May 11.\n\n      The fun kicks off with pre-race warm-ups provided by Wellspring Fitness Center. The one-mile race for kids and 5K run/walk both start and finish in front of Silverton Hospital's main entrance and lead participants through the streets of downtown Silverton\, through the park and along Water Street before looping back to the hospital.\n\n      Fancy Stitches\, Our Town\, Ulven Companies\, Valley Credit Union\, and Willamette Valley Bank\, join Silverton Health as sponsors of this popular community-wide event.\n\n      With participants now numbering in the hundreds\, the event has become much more than what founder Michael Grady\, MD\, envisioned in 1983 when he raised the idea of a Fun Run to help Silverton Hospital mark National Hospital Week and\, at the same time\, help the local medical community promote health and fitness. \n\n      For more information call 503.873.1789 or 503.873.1786
