Salud Medical Center is offering flu vaccine through the month of October to November. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is urging everyone to get their flu shot now. We want to make sure you and your family are protected against the flu\, especially given the heightened dangers associated with COVID-19. Flu vaccines cause antibodies to develop in the body about two weeks after vaccination. These antibodies protect against infection. Getting the vaccine now is recommended for everyone ages 6 months and older. Preventing the flu is even more important this year\, as it can reduce complications in the event of a COVID-19 contagion and reduces the strain on the health care system at large. Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic sites across the Pacific Northwest are now offering flu shots for patients and community members. You do not have to be a patient of these clinics to take advantage of the flu clinic hours.
