Work for OYA - Hiring Event
Oregon Youth Authority’s MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn needs more employees to work in our living units with the youth in our custody. And we need them fast! Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) recognizes that there are many who want to come and work with the youth in our care but may lack the experience necessary to become employed with us full-time. This event is an effort to proactively introduce state employment and its benefits with intention toward reaching those who may have experienced barriers, especially historically marginalized and underserved communities. This event is for anyone who is interested in a position at MacLaren as a Group Life Coordinator (GLC) — that’s our agency’s title for the people who work directly with youth to carry out day-to-day functions in the living units. Full-time and part-time work is available. You must be at least 21 years old for these positions. GLCs at MacLaren work with youth ages 12-24 who have been committed to OYA custody by juvenile or adult courts. Most youth at MacLaren identify as male, but some identify as other genders. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EVENT. Learn more and register at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/work-for-oya-hiring-event-tickets-439866000047
